As you all know, I still haven't reopened my WoW account (probably not going to for a while), even with the flying announcement. I do still, however, look on the forums (cause forum addiction seems to be a real thing for me <then again, I did spend a lot of time on the WoW forums>).
I'm reading a post right now, and I come across this kind of reply:
"oh god you sound like a spoiled child. Lets put on our big boy hat and recognize this was a compromise between two ideologies."
I have a few things to say to this poster (I'm not reopening my account just to post to the forums):
1. This poster you are responding to has a valid point. Whether you like it or not, the original poster is a part of the community.
2. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: insulting someone just to get some point across is not a very good way to respond to someone.
3. A compromise is something agreed upon by two parties: there was no compromise here. A compromise would have been Blizzard actively giving it's community several options to choose from.
The definition of the word:
com·pro·miseˈkämprəˌmīz/nounnoun: compromise; plural noun: compromises 1. an agreement or a settlement of a dispute that is reached by each side making concessions.
So now I ask this: were we- the player base- given any sort of options to decide on a compromise? No, we weren't. We were flat out told: "This is how this is going to be."
I think Bliz really needs someone there that has a dictionary at hand because what we got was a concession- not a compromise.
con·ces·sionkənˈseSHən/nounnoun: concession; plural noun: concessions1. a thing that is granted, especially in response to demands; a thing conceded."the strikers returned to work having won some concessions"
See the difference?

Also, to Searik, while I do think you have a good point, I think there were better ways Bliz could have gone with this (the questline anyone?). They could have- theoretically- had a quest that started in your Garrison and encompassed all of the zones (including Tanaan). They way Bliz has it right now, it just seems like something someone threw together after a couple of beers.
